Nissan guys: Prepare to drool

Sorta. While it's a great swap it's not done real well (IMO).

You're my hero. I love the Datsun 510. My gramps used to own one a while back and it's still one of my favorite cars.

it seems like a cool idea...I'm just not a fan of the execution. Seems like a lot of stuff was just rushed or not thought out well.

I'd rather have an RB25 or 26 powered 510. I wish 510's weren't so hard to find. I've always loved the simple styling.

yeah, that was for sale on Nasioc back in february. I believe my comment was "for such a daunting swap, it looks kinda half assed."

Not a fan of the condition of the car...definitely not worth the 25k asking price.

Love everything about the car. But 25k? Id think more like 10-15 at most.

I remember seeing it as well. I also believe he had it listed in the 16-17k, definitely not 25 for that thing. Very cool idea, *decent* execution.

As much as I dislike rotary's the 510 is the perfect car for a 20b. That vq would look pretty good in there if the owner cleaned up the plumbing and wiring a bit.

I think there'd have to be a bunch of sheet metal work on the 510's firewall and core support to make room for an rb. I am not saying it can't be done but if an inline 6 fit in there easily there would have been around ten thousand l24/l26/l28/l28et powered 510's running around in the early 80's.

I-6 is real tight in a 510. I believe the radiator had to be removed out of the front cross member.

I still vote for a nice SR powered if not FJ20.

Come on, everybody knows LS1's and 2JZ's are the only motors that are supposed to be swapped into oddball chassis's
